Okay, this is the new app for the iPhone that allows you to post without having to go thru the Safari browser. Since I’m going to the beach tomorrow night this will make things a lot easier to post.

Today was unbelievable day that was poised with delays in every direction. I was shooting Paul’s MFA thesis, Singing To The Deaf and at every turn something just added to the pain of the day. It started shortly after I got to the school when I realized I had left my tripod at home. Then one of my friends who was going to be my hands to hold the pieces couldn’t make it because his mother was visiting and his belated father’s day lunch was going to be surprise. The on the way back to the school Holly’s Mustang just stopped running on Piedmont road and I managed to coast it to the side of the road. It would start up then just die out. So I called her roadside assistance and they got a tow truck over there in about 30 minutes to take it up to the dealer.

Fortunately for me I had a back up set of hands to hold the pieces. Her name’s Ashley and she just graduated from the Creative Circus and is moving back to her parents in Texas until she gets a job. She was coming down Piedmont on her way to meet me at the school and waited with me until the tow truck came that took me back to the school to do the shoot.

As I was setting up I realized that I was missing a sync cord for one of the flashes so I was going to have to do this with one light and a bounce on the other side. Eventually we got started shooting all the pieces with hands and details. We eventually finished about 5:30 after shooting 880 pictures. I packed up all the stuff and Ashley was kind enough to take me by Publix on the way home so I could pick up some basics since the girl’s starting circus camp tomorrow and will be needing lunch.

Well it’s 9 and I have to work on a website comp for a client.

This has been a seriously bullshit week. I don’t know why but it seems like it really should be Thursday rolling into Friday instead of Wednesday. The bright spot in this was coming home to Holly and the Girl cooking chicken on the grill with fresh coleslaw and baked beans. mmmm tasty.

The week’s getting ready to get pretty busy too. Tomorrow I have my last class for digital media and the my last type class tomorrow night. We’re also going up to REI tomorrow so Holly can start getting the gear she’s going to need for her trip to the desert next weekend. Friday night I’m going to get the supplies to build a compost bin out back. Since Holly and her sister will be driving my car to Tucson, I’ll be at NTB getting the car readied.

Took the bike to work today and on the way home I stopped to pick up a 30lb bag of dog food. The bag fit into one of the bags but they weren’t kidding about balancing the weight. That shit was a pain in the ass with the whole pulling to the left all the way home. Zippidy doo daah, going to bed.
